"The Red House is a delightful old, large three story town house in a more up-market part of Grantham, if there is such a thing. Large room with high ceilings and original features - not to everyone's taste but perfect for me. Very quiet and peaceful but easy walk to the town center. "The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and pleasant with plenty of wardrobe / drawer space. The bed was really comfortable and the room was warm as the heating was on. I would have scored 100% but for a small leak on the shower cubicle bottom seal and the shaver/mirror light wouldn't work - nit picking really but shows this review is honest. Even so, overall far better than could be expected for the price."

"Property bore no resemblance to the picture on the website. Outside area full of weeds. Paint peeling off building and stairs. Window blinds filthy and mouldy. Washbasin tiny. No soap or toiletries. No bedside table or bedside light. No chair. No hangers in cupboard which had a door hanging off its hinges. Kettle useless and wouldn’t boil. No breakfast offered. Door only closed by a Yale lock so insecure "

"We were pleasantly surprised by our room. It was a family room which is probably why it was so spacious, and more importantly clean. My only moan would be breakfast is served between 8am - 9am. I personally think 8-10am would be more appealing but you can’t please everyone all the time. "
