"It may not be a 5 star hotel but I would give Tennyson 5 stars for the way guests needs are catered for. Entry was simple and effective thru key safe. the room was clean comfortable and warm - I returned from a meal at the local Wetherspoons (brilliantly converted cinema covered in lights!) to find the heating had come on and the room was warm as toast. "Great that you check yourself in so there are no time restrictions. Clean. Quiet. Lots of lightning and sockets. Breakfast items are in your room ready for the morning. The kitchen is very nice, big and useful. Nice touches like shower caps. I definitely recommend. "

"Excellent value for money . Good breakfast choices many extra little touches. Very close centre and seafront. Highly recommend and stay again. Only small issue single rooom very small but no biggy reference the cost."

"Really good location. Hosts were lovely and friendly, breakfast was really nice and room had everything i needed. Ample parking on the street so don't be put off by no parking advertised. Close to centre and all attractions. I'd stay again, thank you."

"Really enjoyed our stay thank you. Pleasant welcome from the staff and good facilities. Lovely clean guest house and room. In a great location for the town too. Minor downside is lack of parking (but there are side streets and car parks nearby - it just took us a little while to find one late on a Friday evening). And no glasses/water in the room which would usually expect in a hotel/guest house. We knew breakfast wasn't included so can't complain about that, but the option of £17.99 in the...

"Property bore no resemblance to the picture on the website. Outside area full of weeds. Paint peeling off building and stairs. Window blinds filthy and mouldy. Washbasin tiny. No soap or toiletries. No bedside table or bedside light. No chair. No hangers in cupboard which had a door hanging off its hinges. Kettle useless and wouldn’t boil. No breakfast offered. Door only closed by a Yale lock so insecure "

"Hotel situated in a quite part of the town, yet not far from sea front and shops. Our room on ground floor was very good, clean warm , breakfast very very good, loads to choose from full breakfast piping hot. Can not find any fault with the hotel."
