"This was an affordable option in a touristy area. The hotel is old, but the rooms have been renovated with new carpets and bathrooms. The single room was small, but I had room to open my large suitcase on the floor when I moved the chair. I had a very nice seaside view from my window. The breakfast was fantastic. I added breakfast to my booking, and they had great menu options. One morning I had the full Scottish breakfast, and the next day I had the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. I had supper there both nights, and the meals were good. The dining room and breakfast area both gave seaside views. I would definitely go back to the Uig Hotel. "

"My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Glendale View, so pleased to be on the lest touristed side of Skye. Jane does a beautiful job taking care of her guests, she is a fun and open person who will do whatever she can to make your stay the best it can be. The facilities are new, clean and up to date with heated flooring and USB ports around the room. The rooms are all on the ground floor so no stairs to lug your baggage up and down! All breakfasts were absolutely delicious, be sure to try the sausage and pickle with cheese on homemade sourdough, absolutely heavenly! We won’t hesitate to stay there again. "

"Cannot recommend this place enough. Sam is a lovely host and the house is very clean and cozy. Comfy beds and nice bathroom/shower. Very centrally located to main hiking spots and the town of Portree. "

"If you are looking for a relatively remote spot with gorgeous views across the loch, this is perfect. The property was warm and cosy, great to hunker down despite the lashing rain and powerful wind outside. A short walk gets you to Talisker distillery, the Old Inn and little local convenience store, so yiu have all you need. Property well equipped and comfortable, great communication with owner - thanks for the opportunity to explores the wilds and wiles of Skye."
