"We really enjoyed our stay at Ferragudo. The property, in a quiet, quaint neighbourhood, was just what we were looking for and within 5 minutes' walk of the centre of Ferragudo via narrow, cobbled ruas , most barely a cars-width wide, and steep flights of steps. There there is a pocket-sized "supermarket" with all essential supplies, including fresh meat and vegetables and some superb wines. A city-sized supermarket is 30 minutes' away. The house was well equipped, everything about it...

"The parking and unloading of suitcases was an issue. We had to park in town and walk everything in. We knew parking would be hard but did not expect it to be so challenging to unload suitcases."

"Burgau is a great family holiday destination with a gorgeous beach and lots of restaurants cafes etc. The lower appartment was super clean and a nice size with air conditioning which worked well. It was a quick easy walk to the beach but quiet at night- maybe thanks to the shutters on the windows. The roof terrace was brilliant- lovely big space which was shared with my parents who stayed in the appartment above us.. we may not have enjoyed sharing with people we didn’t know. Would recommend...

"We, two couples in our 70’s, spent three nights at the House By The Sea. Overall, the experience was positive. The house is showing some signs of aging, but was clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was adequate and well supplied. The walk to the beach isn’t far, and we enjoyed exploring the small beach town. We visited in October and experienced a stormy, rainy time, so the downstairs bedroom area was quite dark and a bit damp. I imagine that in bright, hot periods this would provide...

"Located right in the center of Alvor, very close to restaurants and shops. The downside is that there is a huge construction site neighbouring the house. Lots of noise. Instructions to get into the house was unclear, the key was missing from the key chain. We waited more than 30 min to get in. There were 4 doors and none of the keys worked. We had the main floor. The upstairs is rented as well. The doors knobs need replacing, they barely work and one came off in our hand. Cleaniless...
