"Perfect property for winter fun"

"We stayed during the middle of the winter - but the view impressed no less. The owner was very responsive. There is no wifi, but TMobile and Cricket connected nicely for what we needed during our stay. Overall, a comfortable stay after a long day of snowboarding. "

"Nice cabin for a couple of families to enjoy a ski weekend. Kitchen was well-equipped and clean. Kids liked the game room. Disappointed that the entrance wasn't shoveled. Icy steps resulted in a slip and fall. Would not advise someone staying if their car doesn't have all-wheel drive as driveway and parking was icy too. Owner does not supply firewood for the fireplace."

"This is one of the best rentals we have had. The property is clean, the kitchen & bathrooms were very well stocked, the King size bed is amazing - it was like sleeping on a cloud. We loved the 'axe throw' game in the garage so much we ordered one for at home. We had a fantastic time. It's about 23 steps from the lower patio to the lake. Speaking of patios, these, too, were clean & well-furnished. Highly recommend this property."

"My family stayed two nights for a ski weekend. Very clean place that was nicely decorated and perfect for the five of us. It was close to Caberfae which was what we wanted. We were there Valentine’s Day and the owner was kind of enough to leave some chocolates! One heads up, like many more rural areas the water is hard and not great for drinking so plan to bring some bottled. It was a great stay and we’d stay there again!"

"Very clean and spacious. Plenty of space in the big kitchen for our snacks, bevies and for cooking. Check-in was a breeze and Jeff, the host, was responsive. Beware of the low height of the canopy bed--easy to bop your head on it the middle of the night when getting in and out of that bed. Otherwise, beds were comfortable and we rested well. Enjoyed the music outdoors while soaking in the hot tub. Our least favorite part of this place was the living room. The couches only seat up to 5 adults and...

"We loved staying at the lake. The owners were excellent and left us a snack which was awesome. They were up front that home was a work in progress, and it didn’t matter really because we didn’t spend much time in the home and went on several adventures on the days we were up there. It was a beautiful area and being lake front made it that much better. "

"The cottage is really nice and the location is great. Loved being able to Kayak right in the back and the dock was also nice. The cottage had everything one needs. The porch sunroom was very nice and the wifi was not bad. There is a grocery store about 10 mins away driving. The lake was beautiful and so is the cottage and location. The hosts were great in reponsing to my questions. Highly recommend. "

"We love staying at Paula's Northern Michigan Retreat! Paula is very responsive no matter how or when we contact her - her support and help is invaluable. The home setting is beautiful, with abundant wildlife and lovely property with trails to walk. The home is clean and well stocked with sheets, blankets, towels, paper towel, TP, kleenex, etc. The beds are comfortable.
