"Traditional and comfortable "

"This has been recently refurbished and made into a hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and shower was great. We have stopped in a few hotels in Sheffield when visiting our daughter and have always been slightly disappointed either with the rooms or parking. Parking is in the q park but if you book in advance with a code from the hotel it's way cheaper. The only down side was the breakfast. The food is a way away from the tables and you have to walk back and forward a few times if you are having your toast, tea and fry up. This was the only issue and this will be our go to hotel in future. "

"The hotel was really nice and the outdoor heated pool was a real treat even in March. We didnt have any treatments as we were only there to enjoy 1 evening child free but what we did see of the spa treatments and the facilities were very good. The location of the hotel was perfect and next to lots of good restaurants that were within 1 minute walk. Thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and Buxton in general. We will be back"

"Lovely old building in a perfect city centre location, which has been tastefully furnished. Rooms are comfortable and of a good size."

"The room was amazing and comfortable. There was refurbishment going on while we were there but the was not any disturbance of noise. The only downfall was the breakfast, the hot food often run out with long waiting time for this to be replenished."
