"The house is so much bigger in real life, the pictures don’t do the place justice. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond. The house was great and pool was fantastic. Thanks for allowing us to rent."

"Place was as described to accommodate our large group. It was about 20 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes into Edinburgh. Lots of eating places locally and shops to eat in. Had all the linens and soaps we needed. Could use some towel racks in the bathrooms and mirrors in the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend place to others looking to explore the area."

"The location is where we wanted due to location. However, the property was not setup for our group size. Having to play rock, paper, sizzors for who got a plate or fork was not enjoyable (we ended up buying our own to add to the property). I would say the kitchen lacked many elements. Overall the home felt a bit like the bachelor days of college with a random collection of barely hanging in there furniture items (careful on the chairs). "What a wonderful house and in such a nice neighbourhood and only a short ride to city centre. The house is great with the most comfortable beds, excellent wi-fi, immaculately clean with all the amenities one would need. Just sorry we were not staying longer but already planning a friends reunion for later in 2024 and definitely want to stay in Dreghorn House. Thanks to lovely host Lisa for all your help."

"We found the house very dirty. The property is very tired and needs a pretty hefty remodel. The risers in the upstairs bedrooms are very dangerous. One person in our group tripped on It and broke her wrist. I notified the owner but had no response. I will be back in touch with the owner over this accident and will file a claim. There was no internet, but said it did in the listing, so therefore, there was no television. For the price we paid, I was very disappointed and I would not rent this...

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gardner’s House!! Henrietta is a host that goes above and beyond for her guests. This was our first trip to Scotland to visit our son studying nearby, so it was a chilly time! The house was cozy and we loved playing cards by the fire in the parlor room. "There were issues with obtaining the checkin details in a timely manner. Property only superficially clean set in a not very pleasant location with an appalling access road. The boiler was extremely smelly and there were no instructions for the heating. Towels were totally inadequate in this day and age."

"Had a wonderful stay at Elaine's super clean cottage. Elaine is lovely, such a kind host. The place was ideal for myself and my daughter, great location, quiet and peaceful, with parking right outside. The king bed in the master bedroom was perfect and the single bed in the other bedroom was also comfortable. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, which had great water pressure and plentiful hot water. Everything we needed to make a meal was included in the kitchen, plenty of cupboard space,...
