"The hotel is a step back in time - laid back and very nice. It’s convenient to everything. HOWEVER, if you’re looking for quiet before 1 am, make sure you do not reserve room number 8. The Green Turtle Tavern is next door with live entertainment till 11pm, and closing at 1am. "

"The Lodge was very nice and the staff excellent! The room size was great but I would definitely choose the ocean view over the sunset.We were not in the room except to sleep and shower so it was fine for us. They all made you feel right at home and had a nice breakfast! Unfortunately, there was a musty smell in the building/room.The mattress was thin and not comfortable and the bathroom needs an upgrade. "

"The staff are amazing. Breakfast was also great and it's a Charming hotel with a lovely location. I do wish there had been blackout Shades in the room though there was a lot of light coming in at night"

"EXCELLENT!! Staff met us when arriving- very professional and courteous. The room (Hummingbird suite) was large, clean and very comfortable ( watch out for the stairs) They thoughtfully had snacks, wine, and coffee available daily. Parking a bit challenging, but even on this very busy day (New Year’s eve), parked in front. We did not partake in the breakfast (up too late!), but could smell the bacon in the morning. I can’t say enough good about this place. It is what a bed/breakfast should...

"We had an excellent stay at The Addison. The room was clean and charming. The place was meticulously maintained. Ron and Lisa were excellent hosts. They helped with restaurant suggestions as well as places to visit. Bicycles were provided for free and made for a great way to get around and see Fernandina. The happy hour made for a nice way to meet other guests. I absolutely would recommend The Addison as a great place to stay on Amelia Island. Absolutely worth it!"
