"This recently and thoughtfully remodeled hotel as clean, neat and efficient rooms that provide everything you need and nothing you don’t. The automated check in is easy to understand once you have obtained a “reference code” which was not included with my Expedia booking info but can be obtained my messaging the hotel through Expedia. The location is in a quaint neighborhood near restaurants and the Bryggan area. It’s also a short walk to the funicular, which takes you to the top of the mountain...

"We were very satisfied with our stay at Heimen Hotel. The building is historic – the hotel has been around since 1918 – but the rooms and bathrooms are modern and well-equipped. The TV had a built-in Chromecast, although there was no fridge in the room. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the air conditioning in the room as well as underfloor heating in the bathroom. Breakfast offered a good variety and was tasty. The hotel is located just off a shopping street and about a 10-minute walk from Bryggen, so the location is very convenient."

"The hotel is in a fantastic location just behind the water front and near the tourist information where the day trips departed. Easy to get to from the airport. Our room was immaculate. It was a standard room but felt far superior. All the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Check in was very efficient and we were given access to our room early as it was ready. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel was fantastic. The location was superb, the staff were friendly. The food was superb and a great surprise about what was included so it really helped us. The only thing was the beds were very soft and the room view was directly into an office block so had the leave the curtains closed but these were just small things. Overall we had a fantastic time. "
