Unlike other Grand hotels I have stayed at, The Imperial still maintains the original high standards of the Grand Hotel. "The hotel is very handy from the railway station. The bar area was a delight to relax in, with the chap playing the baby grand. The chairs are comfy but low for eating from (for me 5'4) The restaurant is colourful and the breakfast was good. I was in a room at the back of the hotel and the decor was simple, the room was fine though (i like the old furnitire) and warm enough for me (im a cold person) but maybe a little overpriced. "It was fabulous. Room clean. Food at bar and restaurant very tasty. Great spa and pool included. I only gave it good and not excellent due to the shower. It was Luke warm not hot. We complained and it was supposed to be fixed during the day. However night 2 and shower was still luke warm. The shower was lovely but There was definitely a problem with thermostat. "

"Excellent service from the staff. Perfect location with lift directly down to harbour road. We only stayed two nights and the only negatives would be no room service for new toiletries or teabags between nights. Also if you have a car and have mobility issues the car park is located fairly close but area very hilly. Would however return "

"This is a lovely newish hotel in a beautiful bay. If you are looking to spend a few days doing nothing and chill this is the perfect place. The photos that you see on their website don't lie. The food was excellent too! Just a couple of minor issues. I know hotels try to create a mood but the piped music all day long can be a little irritating at times. "We had an amazing week, great sea view room, fabulous breakfast each day, we also ate there of an evening a couple of times and had sunday lunch and each time the food and service was excellent and great value for money. Lots of free parking and easy walking distance to the town centre. The staff were all friendly and approachable nothing was too much, all in all a great week."

"The cottage was huge and extremely well-equipped, making it a perfect stay for families. The surroundings were absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The spa requires advance booking, and guests can stay for only one hour, but it was a great experience nonetheless. Everything was absolutely perfect during our stay!"

We only stayed one night as we were attending a funeral so only used it once and we were in a hurry. "I've stayed at Foxhouse Studios several times. The rooms are comfortable and warm and modern. The staff are nice. It's very central."

"The property is clean and well maintained there are a significant amount of steps to get to it (I counted 62 in all) but the views at the top are worth it. One word of warning though, I found out to my dismay that there was no network coverage at the property so you can't access the email containing your key code to get in the property when you arrive so make a note of it beforehand. I didn't and had to walk back down all those steps to the main car park to get reception and access the email...

"Our entire stay was fantastic, the home owner Suze was amazing in helping with our arrangements for our small wedding - private chef Adrian was superb, housekeepers were amazing at helping us understand how the house worked and also took in our shopping! We even managed a couple of dips in the very fresh sea to start the day! A magical break enjoyed by all.. We have recommended to several friends and family and will hopefully stay again soon. "
