"Kind and lovely people, lovely chat and they really cared. Very much a spare room in the end of their house with a it’s own bathroom so very homely. Breakfast room was a breakfast room with lots of stuff and a cat (I loved the cat). It’s down a very rough and rocky track in the car. Basically it’s an authentic working farm with some lovely farmers who make a solid breakfast. I’d be back. If you are looking for a polished hotel experience this isn’t for you but for a real life nice people...

"Parking was limited to 3 narrow spaces at the rear of the guesthouse but there is the option of residents parking in a nearby street (we were given a residents parking permit). We were in an en-suite room in the basement, with use of the fridge and microwave in the basement kitchen area which was useful. There were a couple of cobwebs in the corners of the room but the shower, toilet, sink and bed were spotless. Breakfast was great, with a varied menu. The dining room was clean and welcoming....

"The staff were so welcoming and lovely it made the stay so enjoyable. There was an issue with WiFi and the staff couldn't apologise enough. It did not matter to us as we could enjoy the stay without the phones/emails etc. The food was all home cooked and delicious. Will definitely visit again."

"Ideal single room with ensuite ,desk and TV - clean and tidy, warm and comfortable bed - perfect, just what I needed for the one night. Was greeted on arrival and also when i left. One minor downside the blinds arent black out ones unless I didnt see a curtain I could pull across."

"This is not a hotel. its more of a doss house. Paid for 2 nights. went to the moxy instead which is just another level compared to this. Yes its cheap, but the whole area feels unsafe, and you wouldnt want to leave your car here."

"Booked through Expedia, but when I arrived the accommodation it was closed down for refurbishment. Bizarrely they are refusing to give a refund, despite the fact that they have taken both my booking and money for a service that is not available"

"Arriving after hours of driving to a really friendly welcome. Settled in to a brew and slice of lovely cake. A peaceful sleep followed by a huge breakfast. What more could I ask for."

"Lovely room so able to relax. Good communication from the hotel - it wasn't open the night I stayed but I was sent details of the keypad for the front door & key to the room was available. A list of food delivery options was provided as food not served that night. Tea/coffee in the room plus toiletries. "The house was beautiful, did not disappoint! The view is to die for and did not want to go home! Everyone’s lovely around the area"

"Our entire stay was fantastic, the home owner Suze was amazing in helping with our arrangements for our small wedding - private chef Adrian was superb, housekeepers were amazing at helping us understand how the house worked and also took in our shopping! We even managed a couple of dips in the very fresh sea to start the day! A magical break enjoyed by all.. We have recommended to several friends and family and will hopefully stay again soon. "

"I stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cottages, it was so peaceful in beautiful surroundings. Very clean warm with all modern facilities. Spacious and convenient parking right next to accomodation. The use of health club facilities was wonderful after a long drive. The staff i dealt with were friendly and welcoming and answered any queries I had. "

"It's a truly unique location... being cut off by the tide twice a day on your own island. It's stunning. The attention to Art Deco is remarkable. It was spotlessly clean. The service is relaxed not over the top. The food was really good, not superb and perhaps not quite worth the price, but I get that you're paying for the location as much as anything. Love that the rooms don't have TVs to be authentic to the period. It's fun having the 4x4 transfer over the beach or the sea tractor through the waves. We'd go back again. It was really special for our anniversary"
