"The lodge we stayed in ( badger lodge) was amazing. It came with everything you need to make your stay comfortable for a family of 4. The lodge include a washing machine, hoover, huge freezer and a hair dryer. The hot tub is definitely the highlight of the stay. A guy comes out and explains all the dials and is cleaned on a daily basis. The area overall is good, there is a play area for young children but not much for teenagers to do apart from a quarry trail. The only let down for this place...

"Served its purpose for a one night stop over, basic and a bit tired, stains on sofa and carpet, only one double sofa which sank when you sat on it so the third person had to sit on a hard dining chair. Basic utensils, no wine glasses but did have a gravy boat 😁 comfortable beds, met by the pleasant host, all in all fine "

"The property was exactly as advertised, spacious, modern, and full of light with views of the countryside. It was very peaceful. We used the hot tub on Friday and Saturday evening and we were pleased to know that it was emptied and cleaned before our arrival. There were small touches which we appreciated. On arrival there was a cake, prosecco, milk, jam, butter, 2 dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid and salt and pepper. The oven pans and grill tray were all lined with foil making them...

"Our lodge was brilliant, lots of space inside, robes and plenty of towels for the hot tub. Staff were so friendly and helpful and everything was delivered and looked after perfectly. Lodge was really well equipped with everything we needed. Location wise being only 4 miles from Alton Towers was perfect for us and felt like a million miles away after a full day in a busy theme park. Would highly recommend staying in these lodges."

"We stayed in Lodge 11. Very happy with the size of the lodge, very spacious & most importantly, it was clean & tidy. Unfortunately it's a little tired in places, for example, a cracked Hob & chipped coffee table... For this reason, I can only give it 4*. The Hot Tub was immaculate, so hats off to whoever looks after the tubs.A couple of criticisms... "We absolutely loved our break away and will definitely be visiting again The hosts had thought of everything. A lovely welcome package including a bottle of wine and chocolate as well as milk and bread. Very thoughtful. The host greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly. Our 15month old had just learnt to walk and loved the spacious lodge to run around in. He also loved being able to see the cows from the room he slept in! Thank you so much "

"Firstly, the properly hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. I have some quite disturbing pictures of the grime and mould that is everywhere in this property. Secondly, they did not have a cot for my son despite the fact I called and ordered one a week beforehand. Both my husband and I had to take it in turns to protect him on the bed whilst he slept so he didn’t roll off. Words cannot describe how dissapointed we are."

"The quality of the property, particularly the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms, is a bit shabby - feels more like a 'Home of Multiple Occupancy' than a holiday cottage. The big living space is great, though, ideal for the ten adults and 2 children in our group. The kitchen needs some TLC - the equipment is old and some of it not very good (the can opener doesn't work, the cafetiere leaks coffee grounds into your mug, one of the kettles is a bit ropey) but the mezzanine style works well in terms...
