"We decided to stay at the cabin as it was relatively close to Alten towers. The location was beautiful, peaceful and exactly what we were looking for. On arrival we noticed there was a code lock but hadn't got a code to open the door. I called the owner and she was abrupt and gave me the code. The kids then wanted to go into the hot tub but found it was hardly bubbling and obviously wasn't working properly. Later that night i noticed there was no logs for the log burner. "We had a long weekend stay in Thorpe view cottage. The cottage is well furnished, clean and cosy. The garden is well maintained with exceptional views. The pool is a great feature, was used every day. Ray and Julie are warm and welcoming hosts. Good location, ideal for walker's and cyclists. We had a hearty meal on two occasions at the Old dog pub, served by friendly landlord and staff.All in all we had agreat stay,will certainly return."

"Good place to stay, ideal for what we needed, good size room and comfortable bed (if a little small). Only minor issue was the room we were in (12) had a macerator pump that kept giving out smells of the drains, may need looking at. "
