"I was only staying overnight but I was very comfortable - I am over 80 and disabled so that was very important. The only problem was that although I thought I had booked an accessible room I hadn't so it is important to talk to the reception team - who swiftly corrected that and found me an accessible room within a few minutes. I didn't like the AI receptionist who answered the phone but she is easily sidestepped by just insisting 'Manager' and you get put through. The dinner was very good."

"Our host Jenny was brilliant. There had been some kind of miscommunication on the booking, where other hosts would have created an issue, Jenny welcomed us and all was well. The property is very homely, in a very nice rural location, parking is within the farm, safe and secure. Jenny's team / family are all very welcoming and happy to help. Great place to stay if you're riding a motorbike, or wanting to visit Thruxton. "

"The room was extremely large with lovely touches. The bathroom was luxurious, but there is a lack of plug sockets near mirror for drying hair. The bed was hard and not very comfortable. People should be made aware of the presence of cats. Although not a problem for me but I have a niece who is very allergic and we were visiting her after our stay. "

"This is the second time we have been to the Crown and Garter. We went because the area is quiet and we wanted to explore a bit more. "What a wonderful night away to celebrate our wedding anniversary, loved our lunch the steak was so good, All the staff were really welcoming, Such a lovely atmosphere! We went for a stroll around the village, when we came back the bar was busy but everyone there was enjoying the evening, We felt really lucky to have the huge lounge to ourselves, Our room was perfect 👌 gorgeous big bed and a role top bath just set it all of nicely, Breakfast was amazing!!
