Perfect cabin getaway
We wanted a quiet cabin getaway to escape the Arizona heat and Steve’s cabin was just that. The cabin is right on a beautiful flowing river at the end of a gravel road. Our dog loved the river and sitting on the covered deck watching the chipmunks. The cabin was clean and cozy and just a short drive away from the lake. Can’t wait to go back!

We enjoyed our stay. Cabin worked great. The river was beautiful just hard to catch fish, running fast. Great base camp for 4 days exploring the area.

Quick vacation
It is exactly as described. Pictures do not do justice to the flowing river behind the house. Everything was great. I do suggest mosquito spray. We were there in early June. We had 6 people and a dog. They even furnished dog bowls. Great place.

Amazing location
The pictures do not give the property justice. Your backyard leads you to the river. Sitting on the deck with coffee or your meal listening to the river is so relaxing. I enjoy cooking and this kitchen had everything you would need. Quiet place to unwind. Be sure to bring bug spray - the only complaint was the mosquitos but it wasn’t just there might be time of the year

Wonderful Setting
Loved the location of this place. Close to the creek (it was running too fast to fish). Very peaceful and relaxing setting. One drawback wa that there was no interior dining table. We made do, but would have love to sit around the table to eat and play games. Hosts were very quick to respond to all questions we had. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Tranquility by the Creek
Spent the first week in Oct and it was so beautiful with the fall colors and so quiet and relaxing. The fire pit by the creek was our favorite place to hangout and unplug. Spent our days exploring the surrounding lakes and back roads or Durango is close enough for shopping and entertainment. Would definitely go back again.

Beautiful setting
Overall the setting is great. The river is right there. Really liked the fire pit location by the river. The porch was a big hit with the two kids. Our communication with the host was very quick. There was a problem with the fridge not working and help was not imminent but we made do using all our freeze blocks from our cooler. There is carpeting throughout the cabin so we removed shoes entering the cabin each time. My only suggestion would be to add a table and chairs for the indoor area. TV trays with kids on carpeting😳! We just bundled up and ate on the porch. Our weather was pretty tame at the end of September . Valle it’s reservoir is very close and there are a couple of country stores about 5 - 7 miles away. Durango is a good 50 minute drive. Very pretty at this time of year:)

Quiet, Peaceful Retreat
Our plan for R&R after a rough couple of years came to fruition. River offered peace. A few wild animals that walked nearby reminded us to appreciate Mother Nature. Area was quiet. We felt sheltered from the hustle bustle under the pine trees and infrequent human connections, yet did not feel isolated from the world. My brother wants to live there one day. : )

This gem is tucked away with a nice river flowing in the back that you can walk down to and put your feet in! It was nice hearing the water flow and the covered wrap around porch was nice to sit under with the rain.

Beautiful and homey!
We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cabin! The area it was in was incredibly beautiful, with the river right there and the lake an easy drive away. You could tell this cabin has been well used and well loved, and we felt at home here. It had all the amenities we could’ve needed, with plenty of pans, dishes, and silverware in the kitchen. The fire pit by the river was so nice, and we spent a lot of time out there just enjoying the view. Thanks for such a wonderful vacation, we’d love to stay here again!

Relaxing and beautiful
We loved the location of this property. The river in the backyard made for a relaxing and unique experience. Fun area for our 2 year old to explore the lake shores of Vallecito lake. Close enough to Bayfield or Durango if you want to go to the store or out to eat. We would stay here again.

Great location, but...
Interior needs a good, thorough cleaning. Upon entering house, the musty smell was very strong. There were dead flies along window seals. The stove top and grates were greasy. The bbq grill needs to be taken apart and cleaned thoroughly. The location, seating by fire pit that overlooked river, wrap around deck, and great weather made up for housekeeping issues. I'd stay here again, but I don't think my wife would be too happy. Didn't feel need to contact property manager for any issues. Email was sent with all information needed to check in.

Both the kids had a great time and loved every minute of it. We’re already looking at coming Back in the summer. You will not be disappointed with this gem.

Very secluded home with the river just steps from front door. Fully stocked kitchen and large living area. The wrap around porch was great. The owner was great answering all our questions. The only downside was how far it was to Durango.
