"We were there when it was snowing and later in the weekend when it was sunshiny and warm. We lit a fire in the wood burning stove and walked outside and enjoyed the labyrinth. We heard the coyotes yip and watched the hawks fly over the bluff. We braked for turkeys and deer. We also made the short trek into Red Wing for serious shopping and spent time at Lena’s. In short we loved it all!"

We didn’t mind the sound of the trains at night but the blowing train whistle woke us a few times. There are ear plugs there if needed. "I enjoyed my stay here so much. The cottage is cozy with a touch of luxury, perfect in its intentional simplicity. You can tell that a lot of care has gone in to everything here. "My stay at the comfortable, cozy Abide exceeded my expectations, a gorgeous space with views of fields and the Kinnikinnick river. The highlight of my evening there was a wood fire sauna overlooking the river, after a lantern lit walk through field and pasture. I look forward to returning for a longer stay. "
