"I loved the decor!! It was very charming and unique! Our main complaint was that the food was not very enjoyable. It was not very tasty and was really overpriced. But the beauty of the resort, the pool with the pink and white striped awnings, and the charming rooms made it all worthwhile."

"Let us be clear on what this place is. This residence is a series of rooms which are the extensions to someone's house. "The host waited up for us as our flight got in really late, however i kept him informed. On entry to the apartment the first impression although sparsely furnished, the place was very clean with fresh bedding and towels. "ECO Lifestyle and Lodge was a beautiful and relaxing escape, far from the tourist crowds. The breakfast at the restaurant was incredible; the service from the staff was fabulous; the grounds were impeccably kept. We even got to meet the owner because she drove our "shuttle" to the other side of the island. It was also well-placed for great surfing (which is not our thing, but if it's yours, it's perfectly located). I enjoyed a quick trail run and the scenery was amazing. You can walk to the botanical garden and to a few other restaurants for the days that the lodge doesn't serve dinner. I would highly recommend and hope to return!"

Farther Away - A Cliff Top Cottage Overlooking Beautiful East Coast Beach

"What a find! We found Farther Away accidentally. It had been omitted from my earlier searches due to my search criteria including the requirement for A/C. We read the reviews and contacted Caroline who put our mind at rest re the necessity of having this. We used the fans and these were adequate for us.Farther Away is wonderful. Secluded yet within easy reach of local beaches and restaurants but a car is a necessity.The pool was initially a bit on the chilly side, but this improved by the end of our stay. We wondered if it had been topped up prior to our visit. The large deck was fabulous. exceptional at about 600 sqft, and provided a large shady area where you can sit and enjoy Caroline's delicious home made rum punch. We were even wishing for rain in order that we could sit on the deck and watch it fall. The view over Skeetes Bay and beyond, is stunning and can be viewed through the double doors leading out from the lounge and bedrooms. The house is comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean. There are lots of towels for both the beach/pool and for the bathrooms. The showers are excellent! The kitchen is well stocked and we had every utensil and appliance we could have wished for. Caroline responded quickly to all of my messages and it was wonderful to meet her in person - she is lovely!We will definitely return! We had an "

Beachfront cottage with air conditioning and stunning views of Bathsheba

Surfers Paradise

"This is a perfect surfers location. Beautiful surf directly across the street, the pictures are accurate, the neighbors are friendly and sitting on the porch watching the surf was heaven. It is not "fancy" - if you have a high maintenance American with you this will not be your rental, but if you want a perfect surf spot to enjoy the views and relax book it. The owner was accessible by What's app as was the car rental co. Be sure to stop for groceries before getting to Bathsheba (only a little market nearby very pricey) and walk to the local spots for meals (some are open on weekends only). We needed a car. On the island you will need GPS (google maps worked) - roads are not well marked. The owner of the VRBO set us up on a fabulous fishing trip - caught Wahoo, Mahi and Barracuda. Definitely recommend if you have the right group. We will be coming back. "

"I'm a pulmonary & critical care physician in Florida, USA. I have lived in many different countries and traveled to more than 40 different countries on 6 different continents. I love nature, healthy living, good-hearted people and delicious food. My week at Naniki cottages under the guidance of my friend and mentor Tom (the owner), has changed my outlook at life. This place is a piece of paradise. No mosquitoes, nothing poisonous or harmful on the island, right next to the best surfing in the Caribbean (the soup bowl) and overall a therapeutic retreat. That mountain in St. Joseph is ranked 3rd in the world in longevity; most people live to 100 years old. I will be going back again and again as I intend to purchase a plot of land in the area to build my dream vacation home for my family one day. "
