"Unfortunately the house has seen better times, the flooring is in a bad state of of repair, sockets hanging of the walls and what looks like telephone cables loose and not connected, luckily we did not have young children with us otherwise I would have said unsafe. There was no heating or hot water in the property and whilst the host offered to get someone in on the 2nd night there was still no hot water which meant the family had to find alternatives. "Where do I start The property was described as a studio. It stated that everyone in my party would be undestrurbed in the accomodation. This is untrue and breaches the trades description legislation The property has a shared kitchen with no privacy in it. The only TV is in the kitchen and so relaxing at the end of the day before bed by watching TV was not really possible My food had to be stored insecurely The access to the room I booked was up very steep steps with a low ceiling This...

"The hotel was extremely well managed the service excellent. The hotel was clean and fresh. The room was lovely it had everything you needed including a fridge (bonus) The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom spotless couldn’t fault it I had room service a couple of nights the food was beautifully presented thank you I would highly recommend this hotel."

Super stay

"Absolutely the best welcome ever. Great reception staff. Lovely bar and restaurant team too. Made to feel special, thanks. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Room spacious, very comfortable and yet contemporary. Restaurant- great tasty food. Wine not overpriced. Service not rushed - phew! Lovely grounds to mooch around. "

"This hotel is in a good location. It's a short walk from the train station and about a 15 minute walk to the high street. The room was a good size. The only issue I had was the aircon was very noisy and sounded like it was breaking, so I turned it off when I went to bed. Dinner at the Alfred's was very good, as were the breakfast options. The blonde woman at the front desk was also very friendly and professional. I would stay here again and recommend it to others."
