The pool area was lovely - very clean and peaceful. The bathroom is relatively basic with only one (separate) toilet. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful surrounding countryside. "Everything you need for a wind-down in the country. All you could need is provided in the clean and comfortable gite. Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. Genial hosts with good local knowledge, friendly and discrete. "

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house in a wonderful location. Our hosts Eliane and Richard were super friendly and helpful whilst remaining discreet and totally respecting our privacy. The house is lovely, very clean and well equipped, everything you need to self cater, comfortable beds and a log burner (which we didn’t need) for chilly evenings. The location is just amazing, very close to Ruffec for shopping but so calm and peaceful. It really is on a little island so there is always the sound of water, we did swim in the weir - very cold in June but so refreshing! A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, we will be back!"

"After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed."
