"Lovely place, friendly staff and excellent location Unfortunately the wall between rooms was so thin I could hear every moment of my neighbour all night. Also the pillows are terrible- made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I appreciate you can’t do anything about the soundproofing in such a lovely old building but the pillows are a very cheep easy fix Would stay again but not whilst working! "

"Incredible service from the proprietor. When we arrived, the car park was full as there was a large wedding taking place. He moved his own car so we could get parked and whilst we were there, he and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming. 100% recommend The Belmore and will certainly stay again."

"Nice rooms, good dinner, good breakfast, hit and miss service experience, but all okay in the grand scheme of things. Full marks for the check in experience, 80% for dinner service and 50% for breakfast experience...the lady and the gentlemen looked upset or perhaps very business like! "

"Lovely place, comfortable clean room and good breakfast. I didn’t eat in the restaurant / bar in the evening but it was packed and the food looked really good. I was welcomed at reception by a friendly helpful receptionist and the lady serving breakfast was also friendly and helpful. In all it was a really good experience and I will be returning. "

"The staff members were so amazingly helpful and friendly. As a solo traveler with a cane I struggle with stairs and excessive walking but the staff helped me to my room when I arrived and Katen even helped we all the way to the train platform across the way when I left. While this location is remote the charm and guality mke it a beautiful destination stay and the food was to die for. I had one minor issue in my room and they resolved it while I was out so 5/5"
