"We loved our stay at Montate. The route in was fun in itself - tiny winding roads up the mountainside. And the property is completely charming. Beautifully done and thought out in all respects - both for practicality and aesthetics. The views are unsurpassable. Lots of different places to sit around the estate while soaking up sun, or enjoying some shade. Allows for different conversations to be in train in different places. And the pool was fabulous. And a properly rural feel, properly out on its own away from others. Overall, we had an excellent family time: thank you so much! "

"We celebrated our wedding here over 5 days with 27 family and friends and we had the most amazing experience. The place is spectacular! It is more beautiful than the pictures can show. Plenty of space for a large group that we never felt on top of each other. Area has many places to explore but you may also not want to leave the beautiful villa! The owners were incredible and celebrated with us throughout the weekend as well. The food cooked by the owners and their team was also amazing. Planning process was very smooth and easy. Definitely book this!!"

"The property is amazing, loads of space for 4 adults, comfortable and the views are fantastic. The pool was wonderful and Mirko (the property manager) was friendly and helpful. We didn’t have hot water in one of the showers at first, but he fixed the issue relatively quickly. The only downside is the track to the house. It is steep and very bumpy. We were aware of this but even so, the drive was not for the faint hearted!"

"Our stay was better than expected with the spectacular views, surrounded by mountains and Mother Nature. It was peaceful, relaxing and most enjoyable living in a house built in 1636 with modern comforts without having given up its history and charm. The pool area is beautifully organized and super clean."

"It was our first trip to Italy, and this was the perfect family dwelling. The pictures don't begin to capture the breathtaking Dolomites or the outstanding accommodations! The kitchen is a gem! So convenient and easy to cook. We had a chef come in to fix dinner on our last day, and he loved the kitchen, too. We took walks/hikes on the surrounding trails, and relaxed by the gorgeous pool which, by the way, has beautiful night lighting!! The owner fixed pizza in the outdoor pizza oven one evening, and it was a highlight of our trip with fresh, delicious ingredients and gracious conversation...and fabulous wines. We did not mind the narrow and winding roads on the days we drove to Lucca (90 minutes) or Florence (2.5 hours), but be aware of the challenging driving that we saw as a Tuscan adventure rather than a negative. It's the perfect get-away!"
