"The hotel has a wonderful location directly next to the nature reserve Lueneburger Heide. Just just have to walk a few steps to see endless fields of heather. Rooms were spacious and clean. It also has an elevator. The reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is due to lack of customer service. We arrived in the evening and asked where we could dine and the receptionist recommended the onsite restaurant. "This was our fourth stay at this hotel. It has changed hands over last several years but has changed very little in its nice and quaint historic appearance. Breakfast was good. A lack of air conditioning during the visit caused some discomfort, but higher temperatures were unexpected. This hotel is located within walking distance of most trail areas (and there are a lot of trail areas). "

Super comfy beds

"The room was beautiful and cosy. My husbands lived in Hamburg in the past and he really loved the view of the Speicherstadt from our room. The super comfy beds were a treat too. Only downsides are it’s a bit further from the town centre and ubahn which we knew at the time of booking so we walked to most places. We arrived on the weekend with a car and there was not really a convenient drop off location. Parking nearby was quite expensive. I would’ve liked a kettle or coffee machine that dispensed hot water too but that doesn’t seem to be common in hotel rooms in Germany from what I’ve noticed. "

Our first stay in a sustainable hotel.

"We went to Hamburg for a family weekend and stayed for 3 nights. Villa Viva was perfect for us with walking distance to most and safe neighborhood. It was fairly quiet and the breakfast was healthy. My kids missed the bacon. The room we had was large and there is no TV which allowed us more time to talk. WiFi was great! "
