"I have stayed here many times. They recently did a complete renovation and the results are mostly very positive. This time we got a beautiful corner suite with a river view. Kitchen facilities are minimal. I wish there was still a cooktop and washing machine as before the renovation, but it's adequate. Having a good grocery store and several restaurants in the attached mall is a big plus. Breakfast buffet is better than most. Service is friendly and good."

"The hotel is really nice. The location is really great if you want to experience real Bangkok. We love the area but we are „regulars” in Bangkok, so don’t do touristy staff anymore. Hence, no idea how convenient is it for exploring tourist locations. Amazing breakfast (you can get it for 480 Baht pp at the hotel). One big minus: no bar (even though it is provided in the description). It would be really nice to be able to enjoy a cocktail at the pool in the afternoon, but they don’t sell alcohol...

"Carlton was a great place to stay. 10 minute walk in either direction to massive indoor malls. The area felt safe in the evening and there are lots of options for food. Traffic was an issue and delayed the trip from the airport. It took about 50 minutes from BKK on a Friday at noon and cost $30. (US). Public transit is easy from BKK and costs about 1 (US) dollar. If you’re interested in a good cigar lounge, check out the Intercontinental, about a 10 minute drive. "

"Tucked in a small street but minutes from the main street. Close to the mall , plenty of food, shops and massage parlors. The subway MRT and BTS is close by and easy to use The hotel was clean and had enough space for our luggage. Offered good breakfast. Staff were friendly and always had a smile."

"From the moment that I arrived at the property everything eent well. I was greeted and checked in effortlessly. The room was gorgeous - the bathroom was huge and I used all of it. I was gutted that i slept past breakfast but it was a very good night out in Bangkok. I camt wait to stay here again in the near future. I highly rrcommend the Standard Manahakon."
