"The kitchen was ill-equipped- no cheese grater- and the furniture had strips of veneer hanging off which needed to be glued back on. The beds were hard, and none of the strip lights above the basins worked, making shaving difficult. The quality of the fixtures and fittings was poor. However it was a pleasant enough cottage apart from the niggles."
