The pier cafe is great for a drink, coffee or food though, and the drive is worth it for the surrounding views of Loch Katrine. "This property is a dump!! When we arrived it had not been cleaned from the previous rental. It is in a run down neighborhood in a run down building with many steps from the street to the unit. The bathroom was in poor condition aside from the cleanliness issue. Find something else, you have been warned!!"

"We enjoyed this Scottish “steading”. It was a charming farmhouse attached with other houses. The neighbors were friendly and helpful when we first got there. The house was plenty big enough for the 9 of us. The only downfall was the very slow Internet. But that wasn’t the fault of the owner. The house was about a mile outside of town which made it a very quiet stay. "

"Lovely house and gardens, plenty of room for a family get together. It was nice that each bedroom had access to an ensuite or bathroom. The pool table was a great addition and kept both big kids and little kids entertained. We had snow while we were there and having the log burner and extra radiators to hand was great for keeping warm. Communication with host was great."

Unfortunately the weather was not favourable for our week but the on site games room and spa as well as stock of board games meant we did not get bored. Doug has catered really well for groups.
