"Cain is wonderful in a great location and very spacious. Everything was as advertised everything worked. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water. The views from this property are amazing. Fires in the fireplace every night. We did not have any negative issues even though we were snowed in for 2 days we had an amazing time! Be sure to have 4/all wheel during snow season. Newland has a lot to offer as does Roan Mountain. Mikes coffee is really good just a short drive into Newland. Not gonna...

A few things to note: when we booked, we were under the impression that it was on the slopes as per the photons provided(which have since been updated). It is a short walk. "We arrived in a very windy winter storm, the host called on our way to make sure we were aware of when the road would no longer be salted/city maintained. We made it in fine. The cabin was very quaint and quite cozy. The WiFi was down due to the storm but that just made it all the better as we were looking for a getaway from it all. "The layout, size, objects available, things to use, or do at the home, and location were fantastic. We really enjoyed the open property concept outside, as well as the size of the yard to enjoy, on the TOP of a hill. Ski resort and hill were .1 miles away. "The house is perfectly situated near Hatley pointe ski slopes with a 7 minute drive. We saw deer daily on our drive to ski! The view from the living area and outside porches are breathtaking in the morning as the sun rises and in the evening as the sun sets over the mountains. "We snuck away for a few days to spend time together as a family. The cabin was conveniently located in the heart of Beech Mountain and made it easy for the older ones to hit the slopes while the younger one enjoyed the city sledding. Cabin was well stocked and we were able to cook and enjoy some meals together. "

"The property was beautiful and well maintained. Our cabin was cozy and inviting. Our only comfort complaint was the pillows (very flat!) and mattress (a bit hard!). But the views were gorgeous, the horses and goats loved visitors and dinner at the Inn was a treat. Make sure to grab a cocktail at the on-site cocktail bar! We will surely visit again!"
