"The villa has a great view of the lake and is extremely quiet. It’s secluded but still close to the main road and we felt like it was a safe area The directions provided by the owner are good but it is hard to find at night. The furniture, bedding and amenities are pretty old but we were not expecting 5 star. We loved Nuevo Arenal compared to the very touristy La Fortuna but there are of course more activities there. "We very much enjoyed our stay here! The location is close enough to the city to easily walk and it was kept very clean. We even showed up 2 hours early and they let us go in and hang out in the AC while it was still being cleaned. The shower didn't really ever get hot but it was warm enough to shower in. The only suggestion we have is to have some porch furniture put out to be able to enjoy coffee outside in the morning. "
