"Seven family members stayed at the RIU Palace Guanacaste. Three of us had birthdays and the rooms were updated and decorated. We had a Junior suite that was had alcohol dispensers, a fridge with drinks, a mini jacuzzi and king bed with a lovely veranda overlooking the pool and partial view of the ocean. "Overall nice property. Staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds were well kept. This is a hilly property, but they offer a very responsive shuttle service. Our room in bldg 14 offered a phenomenal view of the bay. We stayed at this resort about seven years ago. Not much has changed and some of the areas of the property are worn. That said all employees try hard to ensure a memorable stay. We would consider returning in the future. "

"Very pretty views of the ocean and town from our terrace!!! A short 10 minute walk to the beach, the hotel tram was very helpful for getting around as well. The hotel room was clean and felt safe. "
