"The hotel is right in the middle of the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. Once you get there, you find yourself transported back in time. Winding pedestrian streets (no, taxis cannot come here except during off hours), with charm everywhere. It is the most beautiful part of the city, walkable to LaRambla and most of the sites. Hotel Rialto is popular, smallish, clean, easy to navigate and has a helpful staff. The rooms are simple, but well maintained. For young people who want to be in the middle of it all, this is an excellent choice. I spent 7 days there as I explored the city. A two block walk will get you to numerous taxis if you wish to go further afield. The Gothic area is not quiet, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep before midnight. But, it's not bad either. Highly recommended."
