"I am so sorry but I am not gable to remember the ladies name that checked us in but she was so helpful and so animated with her stories on what to do and where to go. She was just wonderful. There was another very kind and helpful person by the name of Jose! This man was extremely friendly and always asked up how our sleep was and how are mornings and evening were going. He even gave me the fan from him own room! Great place with amazing staff! "

"It was not as nice in reality as in the pictures. It was OK though. Basically clean. The light in the bathroom did not work. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I slept very well there. The area was inconvenient, far away from the centre of town, so that you are dependent on taxis to get around. The taxi drivers are good though and charged a fair price. I never felt ripped off by them. While the area did not feel overtly unsafe, it was pretty grungey, not the best part of town. Were I to visit Bacalar again, I'd probably look for somewhere else to stay because of this hotel's isolated location. "

"This is one of the nicest small hotels we haved stayed at. The swimming in the lagoon was spectacular. The pool was refreshing. The food was very good. The staff throughout the whole hotel was excellent. There is a coffee maker in the room BUT they charge for the coffee pods. The only thing I would request is that the coffee is included in the price of the room. If you are looking for the best hotel on Lake Bacalar, look no further."

"I had a great experience with this hotel, the staff is very nice don’t have an elevator but I’d only one floor up and they take your luggage. Breakfast was great. The only thing is the shower needs to be replaced but water is hot "

"If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place this is it! I am not into yoga but if you are then this is the place for you. The staff are courteous and very helpful and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. We stayed for 3 nights and never left the area. The Lagoon is absolutely gorgeous. I recommend taking the boat tour as Jami was very iformative and friendly. "

"Hotel Carolina ..... Wish we didn't have to leave. If you're looking for accommodations close central and on the water this is your place ! A boutique style resort with amazing staff! From the moment we stepped onto the grounds you could tell the staff enjoyed their jobs and took great pride in what the hotel has to offer their guests. The staffs attention to detail ensuring customers needs were met was truly appreciated! Shout out to Juan !! There is an onsite bar and restaurant with very reasonable prices! Don't forget to make use of the complimentary kayaks and paddle boards that are available for their guests. When we return to Bacalar, Carolina will be at the top of our list to say at."
