"When we arrived at 5.00pm on Sunday afternoon the hotel was deserted. Automatic check-in machine! If someone had been at reception we would have asked to change our room,particularly as the place appeared practically empty, because our shower head bracket was broken so had to be hand held for the entire stay. Also being sited on the 2nd floor was difficult for us as we are both over 70 and have both had hip surgery. We enjoyed our continental breakfast each day and our swim in the nice private...

"The house is comfortably sized for 6 adults. The fully furnished kitchen, BBQ Grill, and table with seating for 6 (up to 8) were perfect for cooking 1-2 meals on a daily basis. The bedrooms are normal for France; but the beds upstairs are a little small for 2 adults. Our visit was mid-July and while there is no A/C - the temps/breeze in the evenings and nights made for comfortable lounging/sleeping. It is a little farther from the nicer beaches and La Rochelle city center - but we’d stay...

"Great stay with friendly hosts. Tom was very knowledgable and gave lots of good advice about the places to see. We stayed in the Chalet in the garden which was nice and spacious, well laid out, lovely and quiet and also included a fan and air conditioning. The pool was lovely and warm and the breakfast was well presented and plenty of it. The availability of a well appointed kitchen with plenty of space for people to cook and eat was ideal - we only used it to store food in the fridge...
