"We stayed just the one night on our way around SH35, and had a fine sleep. Stan provided detailed directions how to get there, which were needed. The bach is well off the highway, and finishes up a steep gravel track. The view is likely wonderful, but the weather didn't cooperate. The rooms are large with lots of single and double beds. Big kitchen with full range of appliances. Very friendly owners.steepsteep"

"We enjoyed our stay at this unique location. The view was outstanding and we were very comfortable here. The steep driveway is not for everyone, but our vehicle was small and we’re good at using mirrors to reverse. Hey, this town boasts the steepest street in the world! We navigated it alright.The location is a quick drive to the central part of Dunedin, the St Clair Hot Salt Pool, and Lamarck Castle. A lovely drive to the end of the peninsula to see the albatross and penguins, too."
