"The house was beautiful and clean and in a great location (and smelled great too!). We arrived on Thanksgiving day and were pleasantly surprised to find a decorated Christmas tree lit by the fireplace. The house is a very convenient 10-15 minute drive to Oakland or McHenry. We loved sitting in the hot tub while it was snowing. Our granddaughter enjoyed the arcade game upstairs and was really excited about the bunk bed room. We had a wonderful stay and would love to come back in the warmer...

Nice hot tub, dock and kayaks. Fun game table and some arcade games if children come along. Enjoyable evening by the fire pit with s'mores! Easy to find, easy to book, responsive owners."

"A friend and I rendezvoused in the Canaan Valley in early November to hike in the nearby Dolly Sods and other trails in the area. Garagemahal was exactly as advertised: clean, quiet, spacious (for two people), and conveniently located. The owners/managers (Chip and Laurie), who live across the driveway, were friendly and available to provide information or report problems to (there weren't any), but were otherwise unobtrusive. We will return."

"The house is clean and has the basics. The light by hot tub was out and we reported it. The location of the house is good minus the actual driveway. We had three neighbors. We all got stuck trying to get out of the driveway in the snow. We have a ford f150 and it was still challenging. We almost had to call a tow truck to get over the steep driveway. I wish checkin was easier where you can just use key code to get into house rather than going to the office down the road."
