"The hotel managers were great at communicating our arrival time and showing us how to access the property after hours so we could go caddy-corner across the street and grab dinner after a long flight. The room was small but absolutely gorgeous and I loved the balcony. We received a breakfast voucher for the same cafe we went to for dinner and everything there was wonderful- save some room for dessert because they have so many beautiful and delicious desserts. There is a giant and beautiful city...

Contacted via WhatsApp. When I arrived, I called the number from WhatsApp, and the door buzzed open remotely. Made my way to the lift, went to the third floor, turned right, the hallway door was unlocked, found my room#3, with the key in the door. Once inside, a note awaited me on the desk, along with a bathroom key, a breakfast voucher at a nearby cafe, and a tourist map. A follow up...

"This is an amazing hotel nestled in on a side street in the center of Catania. It’s closed to everything you need. I had an amazing dinner steps away from my room last night for Christmas. Nicola is an incredible host. He made sure that all my needs were met. After being in Rome for 5 days I needed a break from the hustle n bustle of a big city that’s very noisy. Well here at this hotel there is no outside sounds to be heard from my room besides the beautiful church bells ringing time to time....

"Centrally located inn in Catenia. We enjoyed our four night stay. Room was facing a street but was very quiet at night.. Inn keeper was very helpful with a tour of Mt Etna. When we reserved the room it stated it included breakfast but that was not the case. I guess they do not do that anymore. "

"Situation in Ortigia in an area of narrow, interesting lanes full of restaurants and local businesses is fascinating. Very much an atmosphere of Sicilian Ortigia. Room was very clean and modern with aircon and good bathroom. Roof garden where breakfast is served is attractive but the breakfast itself is average. There is a car park quite close at the marina but it is very expensive. Satnav finding the loction was quite useless. Important to contact the owner before arrival."

"Check in was a nightmare. Family was supposed to meet host at airport with a cot - but he was no where to be found. Directions to villa were very scattered but finally arrived met by housekeeper and shown around the villa. It was old and in need of some updating but very comfortable for our party of 10. Beds and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Pool was lovely although it was still warm enough to swim in the sea. All in all a wonderful holiday."
