At night the street noise was noticeable but given college students returning and the weather it was not completely unexpected. "The apartment is very nice and functional. The location is great. Our only negative was that there is not a lot of closet space in the bedrooms. But overall, this place was a great value. The group was my wife and I, plus our two adult sons. I would stay here again, but perhaps with three adults instead of four. "

"Had a lovely weekend staying at Birnie Cottage. Aileen was great at giving information prior to our arrival and gave us a lovely welcome with scones, butter and jam. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out 2 evenings enjoying the sun and the garden. "This was a lovely property with a really extraordinary view, and we had a great stay. The only drawback was the state of the rugs in the living room and bedroom - these really did not look clean (it would be hard to keep shagpile clean), and we had to store these out of the way during the stay. The sofa cushions also seemed rather tired. Otherwise everything was excellent, many thanks."
