Take the shuttle bus and try not to walk up the really steep hill to the hotel. It is definitely some cardio exercise. But, if you take the shuttle bus, which is very convenient, you will save yourself some harsh exercise. "

They lock the doors at 10pm so be in before then. There are no walkable places to eat or shop which is a plus when trying to escape that. Arigato gozaimasu!"

It was relaxing for my family to enjoy and be together, and I imagine it would make a beautiful romantic getaway. The special kaiseki dinner was one of the best I had during my stay in Japan. "This Ryokan does not do food of any kind. Inaccurate description on expedia. It is close to everything in the area.. Yukatas provided are quite small. Onsen is small but adequate. Bit wear and tear but expected for old building. Staff where polite and helpful. "

"Nice and quaint ryokan with free shuttle service. The tourist information centre can help to contact them for you when you arrive. We booked the only room with an outdoor onsen and bathroom as we were travelling with a toddler. All other rooms don’t have any private toilets. Dinner was amazing and served at sister ryokan 5 minutes walk away. Breakfast was served downstairs. The staff were always smiling and ready to help. Very friendly and welcoming ambiance. Only complaints — room aircon, air...
