"The main floor is laid out well and very cozy. Kitchen is well stocked with plenty of workspace. We were worried about having space to eat, but were able to fit the 5 of us around the table with no issues. As described the stairs both inside and out are “interesting” but we didn’t have any issues. It was extremely cold and rainy when we arrived but the stairs had been cleared as well as possible and there was plenty of ice melt for us to use the next day when the weather cleared. "Great house for a little vacation. Beautiful view although it rained the whole trip we still enjoyed sitting in the porch. Some dishes was still dirty in the cupboard but didn’t really bother us. Overall good "

"We felt right at home the minute we walked thru the door! Its the most unique place we have ever stayed. The caboose had so many of the original feature. The Innkeepers are readily available and very kind.The outside fire pit area was enjoyed nightly. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This cottage perfect for two people. The location has all the amenities you could ask for. Climbing up and down the 43 steps to cottage can be tiring especially for the elderly. There is Liquer store very close buy and grocery store within 5 miles. I must say that prices there very high, but in no way does that reflect on owner. We certainly are looking forward to coming back for another stay."

"My siblings and families stayed for a relaxing weekend. Views of sunset on the lake were gorgeous. Very well stocked kitchen. We were able to make all kinds of food. Host was very responsive and accommodating. House was clean and had more rooms than expected. Would definitely return! The screened in room has lovely views but it has to be warm enough to open all the window shades and expose the screens. Close to stores and restaurants.Fantastic stay!"

"My husband and I stayed in this cozy cottage for ten days. It was so relaxing sitting on our private beach reading, sipping evening wine and a little fishing from the dock. The house was adequately furnished and there’s a large tv in the living room if you wanted to watch tv. Overall a very enjoyable vacation. "

"This cottage is adorable-beautifully decorated and well appointed. I seriously want to hire whoever decorated this house for my house! Excellent communication with the owner. We stayed in January and it was cold!! The gas logs made it nice and toasty, but it took us a while to figure them out, written instructions on how to turn on the fireplace would have been helpful-but other than that we had a great stay! "We were a little nervous upon arrival, it was exceptionally cold that day Dec 22nd, 2 deg at night ,and we were afraid it wouldn't heat up. However, between the heat pumps and the electric fireplace, it became toasty! Very convenient, 2 bathrooms great !We would definitely book again !"

"This property was accurately advertised and didn't disappoint. Having stayed at several cabins/B&Bs in Connecticut previously, this one was excellent. Check-in was seamless, the space was a good size with all necessary amenities, and it was conveniently located near attractions. Communication was prompt and helpful, even with minor questions. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable getaway from NYC."
