"We absolutely loved our stay at this villa! It was just wonderful, and Luigi was a fantastic host! The views from every part of the villa are amazing! It was so fun to see all of the sheep each morning and watch the sunset in the evenings. We were fortunate enough to be in town for the olive festival in Montisi, the quaint little village just a few miles away. We had a blast! The recommended chef who cooked for us at the villa, Giancarlo from the Tuscan Chef, was incredible! What a fantastic recommendation! We also loved the food in town at Cantina 97. It was awesome! We hope that we can come back to this special villa again someday!"

"We were a group of 10 using this house as a home base for our daily travels throughout Tuscany. Cally and Alex were fabulous. They were always quick to answer any questions we had. The house was so special…simply fabulous. Every inch of the house was just perfect. I was sad we didn’t get to spend more time enjoying the house and the amazing property. We had one night with Chef Ricardo who was incredible. He had such energy and passion, and his food was delicious! I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. I highly recommend Antico Macchione for your stay in Tuscany. "

"I choose this place because I did want to be in the country, but this was not what I expected. It is very remote. There is a long very bumpy narrow one lane road you have to drive on to get to the property, There is nothing close and driving back at night was rough. The inside was clean, but there are stairs with no hand railing to get up to the bedrooms. I was traveling with my elderly father and it was not something I expected. I would have not even stayed one night if we had gotten to the property earlier. But was forced to stay one night as I could not secure another place to stay. We left after the first night to a different location. I would not recommend this property at all. "

"We recently stayed here and absolutely fell in love. The staff are all very friendly and the room was beautiful, with antique Tuscan furniture pieces to enhance the overall feel. The views and grounds are absolutely stunning with plenty of pathways to explore. We basically spent one full day relaxing by the 2 pools that overlook the countryside - doesn’t get much better than that. The breakfast is a lovely buffet, with takeaway lunch available. We dined at the restaurant for dinner twice during our stay and all the food is incredible, with very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of parking and overall feel of being a million miles away (in the best way). My partner and I both loved this place and would definitely return. "

"This is a beautifully furnished and restored house. The quality of the furnishings and kitchens and bath are excellent. The pool is beautiful and we loved the covered loggia area so you could lounge poolside but still have cover from the sun. Easy to get to several interesting towns including Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano. The house manager was very helpful and pre-shopped for groceries and is available to line up lots of activities. Definitely recommend a stay with family or friends."
