"The peaceful setting high above the James was only interrupted by the infrequent passing freight trains across the river. The sunsets were colorful and the clear moonless nights burst with stars, especially looking up from the hot tub. The cabin was as advertised; comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms, well-stocked kitchen (pots, plates pans, utensils, etc). Central Air/Heat worked fine. " The property provided everything we needed. We enjoyed spending time with our family members and the space was comfortable, clean, and nicely furnished. We had a great walk over to the retreat center nearby where we saw deer and a spectacular view of the James River. For adventure and groceries we went to nearby Scottsville where we enjoyed dining and shopping. The wedding was wonderful and the property was perfect to reconnect with family during our stay."

"We were going to a wedding at a wi dry venue near Charlottesville. There were 8 of us and this house was a perfect alternative to going to a hotel. House was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. It was a 30 minute drive to Charlottesville and 30 minute drive to wedding venue so it required a bit of driving on some country roads. But everyone had a nice time together. "

"Initial drive to the property was worrysome with surrounding properties being a little bit under maintained but our over all stay was great for what we needed. The home was very clean inside and exceeded our expectations from what we were concerned with coming down the dead end lane. when we arrived a lawn maintenance person was actively cutting grass, friendly. the entrance exit situation can be improved, you will always have to walk through grass/dirt (no walkway) to unlock the front door...
