"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. "Such a perfect spot to land after our flight from the US to Milan. Miranda made us feel so welcome! Our son slept on the main floor, we slept upstairs. Perfect small european kitchen with everything we needed for home-cooked meals. Lovely restaurant cafe in this charming small town. We even came back for a few days' stay later during our trip, did our laundry, hung to dry on Miranda's clothesline. Really such perfect and unique spot!!"

"We had a lovely 4 day stay in Pella in early October at the end of our 2 week Italian tour. We'd had a busy time and Pella was just the perfect ending to our trip. The village is beautiful with just the right amenities to get by, the local shop is next door and has all the essentials, anf there are 2 restaurants and a gelateria by the lakeside.
