Even though it’s looking a bit tired in places, it makes up for any shortcomings with bags of character and first class, friendly and professional staff. "Lovely big comfortable bedrooms, a cosy library and the conservatory for meals had the best views. The pool area and spa helped make our stay memorable. The hotel had an old fashioned charm but was warm and well looked after. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone travelling to the area. "
