"Unique Architecture First of Its Kind. I have been to many Holiday Inn Express, this one is the first one of its kind. It is a round architecture with a "hat" on top. The inside is clean. The stuff is very friendly. The exercise room is big airy with direct access to east sunlight. The main lobby is neatly designed, although I would open up the middle center with skylight to light it up to the open air. Overall, a nice hotel to stay for a few nights. "

"Upon arrival, staff was quick to respond and made my check-in easy. Was charged $30 for a 30min early check-in but reasonable. Room was a bit outdated but still cozy. Air conditioning for the room is a bit loud and old but still effective. Good amount of the amenities are old but functional. The surrounding area and location itself was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast appeared well made and a nice conveniency. The outdoor lounge area was very pleasing but could not enjoy it much sadly due to the rain soaking the tables and seats, would be great if they had umbrellas for the area. The room had decent security hardware that made the stay fairly comfortable. Indoor swimming pool was also a definite plus. Facility was also clean and had a very welcoming layout and simple parking lot. It should be noted that the parking lot is open parking lot but the area is peaceful so wouldn't stress the need for fencing too much."

"Downtown historic building and rooms. Clean and enjoyable in a 1910 kind of way. We would stay there again. Arcata is interesting and the hotel is in the geart of it"

"This hotel is still in excellent condition. I did not have breakfast but they do have a breakfast buffet. The room was spacious and clean. Basics in place. Did not take in the pool or gym resources. The downside was it is a bit noisy in the morning because the hotel is close to the highway. "
