Tucked down a gravel lane behind the main house is a quaint, one bedroom home perfectly situated to experience all that Ohio’s Amish Country has to offer. Renovated in 2024, the house features a living area, one bedroom with queen bed, bathroom with walk-in-shower, kitchen and dining area, and a full washer and dryer. Sit in the rocking chairs on the covered front porch in the mornings and you’ll get the perfect view of the farm fields, quiet roads and rolling hills of Ohio’s Amish Country.
The Daudy Haus comes fully equipped for modern living with WIFI, two smart TVs, heating and air conditioning, coffee maker, microwave and fully furnished kitchen. The kitchen includes baking sheets, pans and skillets, bowls, utensils, plates, cups, coffee mugs and full spice rack, glassware, dish soap and dishwasher pods. It has a full size refrigerator, stove and dishwasher, measuring cups and kitchen linens to make cooking your own meals easy and efficient. A spacious living room with TV, chairs and couch plus the perfectly placed table for two make the Daudy Haus ideal for a romantic getaway or a retreat from the fast–paced everyday life. The bedroom features a queen-size bed, with cozy bedding, extra pillows, TV, large closet and a view! An adjacent bathroom has plenty of counter space, a hair dryer, a walk-in shower, toilet paper, and bath towels for your stay. The large mudroom holds the washer and dryer, another large closet and some games tucked into the cabinets for the quiet nights in. Just steps from the front door is a large fire pit with porch swing seating that is available upon request.

The Daudy Haus is less than a mile from downtown Kidron, Ohio. Lehman’s, a retail store that specializes in products used by the Amish community, and includes a restaurant, homegoods, toys and more is located at the center of the village. Across the parking lot you’ll find World Crafts, a fair-trade shop featuring handcrafted goods from around the world. If you’re looking for local restaurants try out the Rt. 52 Diner, Gionino’s Pizzeria, Kidron Pizza or Wild Fox Cafe. And that’s just a glimpse of what Kidron has to offer.
Take a scenic drive south to Holmes County, the second largest Amish community in the United States, and visit the Mt. Hope Auction, the shops on main street in Berlin, Coblentz Chocolate Company and Walnut Creek Cheese in Walnut Creek, Heini's Cheese Chalet in Millersburg or bring your bikes and take a ride on Rails to Trails, 15 miles of paved trail through the county. Through the winding roads of Holmes County you'll find Amish-owned businesses, furniture and quilt shops, family operated restaurants and a slower-paced way of living. And if you need a day off in the city, Canton, Ohio, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, is only 25 miles down the road and offers various shopping malls, stores, restaurants, theaters, parks and museums.
