"The apartment hotel is a new building in a suburban residential area. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good restaurant called Brothers nearby which serves gyros and other Greek meals and is frequented by locals. There is a mini mart and a couple of bakeries as well on the same street. There is ample street parking so it is a good location for those renting vehicles to explore Crete. We visited Knossos and Matala Beach but did not have time to visit the Old Town of Heraklion. "Perfect for a week with family where we could relax, cook and eat together. Separate sleeping quarters meant our son with our young grandchildren had their own space. We all loved the gardens and pool, enjoyed making orange juice daily, and made good use of the charcoal bbq and pizza oven. Property better than described.
