"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"House was not clean and smells of rubbish, bins not emptied or cleaned. Not enough linen or towels for the stay. Location to neighbors not ideal for family fun. Stay away, much better properties closer to the Mount for a lot less price."

"We have just stayed at "Snazzy" for 2 nights with our grandkids. The place was very well appointed and the location near the Waihi Beach shops was excellent, a 2 min walk. All the facilities were clean and easy to use as was the parking."

"Worked really well for us- bikes fitted in garage, always park for car, warm, views of beach, so close to waves- only complaint would be that it’s very noisy as the road is very busy"

"We had international guests who had never been to NZ come and attend our wedding. We booked 3 of the 4 houses and they were great.Close to the beach, town and wedding venue. They were spacious and well equipped.Would definitely stay again.However if you are wanting a view these do not have one "
