"Did not know that it was a nice hotel to get away and relax right around the corner from my house. Loved the atmosphere of the hotel as soon as you walk into the place, it smelled amazing and the staff was friendly! Will be doing all of my staycations at this hotel from here on out! But was informed that the incidentals fee would be $500, now that is outrageous for valued customers! $50 is okay, but placing a $500 hold on someone’s card is ridiculous….please re-think this because you all will lose a lot of business and everyone can’t afford $500 holds for days…I’m still waiting on the $50 hold that was placed on my card from Sunday and today is Friday. Other than the incidentals fee holding everything was PERFECT!"

"The hosts were very understanding and I love how they came and greeted us. Property is very beautiful. Lovely yard and view. Arriving at night , very dark neighborhood but once settled, no need to be worried . I will definitely visit again "

"This cabin was perfect for a 2-night stay for us (husband and wife.) We really enjoyed the privacy the cabin offered, and the overall atmosphere inside was super cute and cozy. While we were there, there was an unexpected winter storm that rolled in and covered the place in snow which made for a beautiful winter wonderland right there next to the lake. Unfortunately, temperatures dropped so low that one of the cabin pipes burst overnight the night before we left. This was definitely NOT a property issue - the temperatures were abnormally cold and we didn't hold it against the hosts at all. Once we notified the owners they were quick to accommodate and make our stay as comfortable as possible as we packed up for our trip home. Their response time and communication was all we could ask for in that situation. The only real issue we had was that we never figured out how to use the DVD player as it seemed the smart TV was restricted only to the major streaming services, but that may have been our lack of knowledge on using the device more than anything else. (We don't really watch TV at home so that wouldn't surprise us.) We would absolutely stay at this cabin again, and you should too! (P.s. - bring a camera. It's beautiful!)"

"The property is located conveniently to Dollar general, dollar tree, and family dollar. There is a rally good restaurant across the street. Located down the street from other fast food facilities. The lady at the window with the long gray hair is very nice and welcoming. The room was very clean and the shower pressure was great. "

"This home was the perfect place for our time in Oakland. It's close to shopping & other things the small town has to offer. Ronnie was a responsive host & even had the house decorated for Christmas since our stay was over the holiday. We had 5 adults & 2 kids in our group and the home was great for us to all be together or do our own thing for a while. We will definitely stay here for our next trip to Oakland. "
