"We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness. We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom. The bar also helped things along. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest. "

"Definitely enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The apartment suite (which is actually located in the neighboring building) provides a lot of room for a family or group to spread out. Only downside was that the hotel's internet access does not extend there. The included breakfast was all right (the boiled eggs and bread and selection of meat and cheese were good).
