"The house was excellent. The skies holiday host left a lot to be desired ! There were things broken in the property. He didn’t fix them and wanted to charge 20 pounds for an hour later check out - ! Which quite frankly when you are paying a lot for a holiday home is outrageous - especially as we knew there was no one else booked into the house. Such a shame because the house was amazing and we had a lovely time but that customer service would have made all the difference if it had been good."

"The property was very clean, warm and comfortable. The top bedroom, which was in the attic was well appointed but our group felt it might not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. I was able to contact the owners easily and they responded to my requests for extra crockery promptly. The property was in a quiet area but still very convenient for the train station and the city centre which was about a 10 minute walk away. "Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is."

"We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!"

"Fantastic home on the lake with gorgeous grounds and views. Plenty of rooms to spread out and have privacy yet also large family rooms for gathering together for meals and games. Hosts were excellent and very responsive with tips for local restaurants. Overall a magnificent property and we hope to return! "

"The property was excellent, everything you need for a comfortable stay, the double bed was very comfortable and warm. The only thing we found it was a bit far away to walk to the bar/restaurant, for our age group we are late 70 and early 80s."
