"This hotel was excellent. The staff were delightful, everyone very friendly and very helpful. The hotel had all of the amenities you would need bar a fridge in the room as other reviews have mentioned. This wasn’t an issue for us though, they give you milk in a thermos at the bar. The room itself did look a little tired in places but it’s a 3-star hotel so that was okay with us. That being said, it was very clean and comfortable which is what matters most. I would advise check booking...

"Highly recommend the restaurant. Very nice food, I had a fantastic ribeye steak, although the full English breakfast was sparse. The room was basic with budget fixtures and fittings in the bathroom ( I’m a plumber) and the basin plus was broken making it difficult to wet shave. When I reported the basin issue I got the impression they already knew about it. The whole place is spotlessly clean and tidy. The staff are a credit to the business."

The shower is an over-bath type but is powerful and you get a great shower. Although the rooms are large, they are very dated and showing their age. If they were to be given a makeover they would be excellent rooms. The bar are is welcoming and the food looked really good."
