"The location and grounds were stunning and incredibly well kept. The children had lots of green space to play and explore and be up close with the animals. Our deck was expansive which made for lovely evenings watching the sun go down behind the hills and the sky change colour. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as we have bad backs and often struggle to sleep while travelling. "Things have changed since I was last here , rooms are still good, they have upgraded their breakfast and the amount of choice is excellent,quality is good ,the grounds have been meticulously kept neat and tidy ,it’s a perfect place if you have kids to be free and play , such a treat to see the animals and wild animals that are close by,we really enjoyed our stay ,we were not affected by loadshedding-generator onsite "

"Our family stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for one night in February. The first thing that greeted us was the beautiful grounds, and restaurant with a stunning view of the mountain. Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms. And let me not forget the kind and professional staff, including their head chef who made the most wonderful 3 course dinner! A gem! Thank you for a lovely stay. "

"The eco village is tucked away in the private nature reserve. Wonderful views of springboks as you drive to the eco village on the grounds. Rooms were clean and modern, exceptionally comfortable bed. We will welcomed upon arrival with a glass of port - nice touch. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, tasty food especially the rack of lamb. Stargazing with Eben was an exciting and unique experience. Will stay here again."

"Absolutely beautiful stay here and we felt that the photos don’t even do it justice! The owners have thought through every single detail of this property and are so friendly and welcoming. Really safe area, off road parking and lovely cafe across the main road for food and drinks. "We loved our stay here. It was a great stopping point after doing Karoo National Park. It was clean and a piece of paradise. There were giraffes, impalas, countless birds and large tortoises throughout the property. You could walk anywhere on site and we felt very safe. We stayed in Chalet 2 and it had great beds, WiFi, AC in the room, hot shower and a stove top. We enjoyed this place and will be back! "

"What an amazing place this is. This was our third time staying here and, as usual, we loved everything about it. We even found fellow Christian’s on the staff there who made us feel like family. In our opinion this is the best place we have stayed anywhere in Africa. It just suited all our needs and gave us (a group of 3) time to unwind. Thank you everyone at WHK. We are looking forward, already making plans, to seeing you again. God bless you."

"Well located in the center of the village, spacious apartment, nice and clean, equipped with everything one could think of. Jude is a great host, helpful and happy to give a lot of advices. Negative, our daughter was not too happy with the mattress in the second room - but this might be her feeling only."
