"As we jostled our way through the chaotic Palermo food market under the blazing heat, we could not believe it when we opened the heavy wooden doors into the oasis of cool calm of the hotel. Daniella had fantastic customer service sharing us with us info on the hotel and then a printed map with an explanation of the layout of the city of Palermo. "Expedia should clearly state that this is a B&B and not a hotel. The owner(s) seem not to be familiar with how to manage such a place. Unless you pass out from drinking, or for other reasons, there is no way you can sleep in this place. And that's why you pay for: TO SLEEP AND REST during the night. The rooms windows are facing a main street, and there is not enough space here to describe all the noise sources. Here are some examples: dogs barking from the streets, or the tenant above, mopeds...

"The hotel is old and funky. Rooms are adequate, but not as advertised. The room was advertised on Hotels.com as with a desk and WiFi in the room. It had neither and the Alessandra manager was very unapologetic nor helpful at all about these misleading claims. The hotel is also on the THIRD floor (not second floor) with NO Elevator. Not bad once you've moved in, but be aware of having to carry your luggage up three flights of stairs to your room. Staff, other than the manager, was friendly...
